Love Itself  for L.W.

The light came through the window,
Straight from the sun above,
And so inside my little room
There plunged the rays of Love.

In streams of light I clearly saw
The dust you seldom see,
Out of which the Nameless makes
A Name for one like me.

I'll try to say a little more:
Love went on and on
Until it reached an open door -
Then Love Itself
Love Itself was gone.

All busy in the sunlight
The flecks did float and dance,
And I was tumbled up with them
In formless circumstance.

Then I came back from where I'd   been.
My room, it looked the same -
But there was nothing left between
The Nameless and the Name.

I'll try to say a little more:
Love went on and on
Until it reached an open door -
Then Love itself,
Love Itself was gone.

光透窗而入,
從高掛的太陽落下,
於是我的小臥房
湧現愛的光芒.

在光的河流我清楚看到
你甚少瞥見的塵埃,
無名從中造出一個名
給我這樣的存在.

我會試著多說一些:
愛情走啊走
碰上一扇打開的門 -
然后愛情自己離去.

 

在陽光裡
塵埃忙著漂浮忙著跳舞,
我同他們同樣凌亂
在無定無形之境.

然後我從所去之處歸來.
我的臥房，如昔 -
那兒空無一物
在無名與名的中間.
